Delete your CampusFlare account
You can delete your account and personal information at any time.
Fastest way: in the app
Open CampusFlare and go to Settings → Delete account. This deletes immediately and you don't need to wait for us.
Don't have the app installed?
Use the form below. We'll confirm it's really your account before deleting anything, then remove it. Requests are actioned within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What gets deleted
- Your profile, photos, bio, university and course
- Your matches, swipes and messages
- Your device tokens, so notifications stop
- Your record of which Premium features you used
What we have to keep, and why
Payment records, for 5 years. If you ever paid for Premium, South African tax law requires us to keep a record of the transaction — the amount, date, plan and a snapshot of your name and email at the time of payment. Nothing else. These are used only for accounting and are deleted automatically after 5 years.
If you never paid, there is no financial record to keep and nothing remains.
Reports made about you may also be kept for a limited period for safety purposes. Full detail is in our Privacy Policy.
Cancel your subscription separately
Deleting your account does not cancel a Google Play or App Store subscription. Cancel it in your app store first, or you may continue to be billed.
